Inspired by the “ghost” of Louis Armstrong and his passion for swing music as well as the blues, a group of musicians that were swing music enthusiasts joined forces in 2016 to create a band called Satchmo’s Ghost. The band loves music that swings, songs that have a punch to them and are easy to dance to, and also feels quite at home doing a blues tune or two.
In addition, the band offers up sparkling “cover” renditions of music from Lyle Lovett, Asleep At The Wheel, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, Tom Jones, Van Morrison, Elvis Presley and Al Green, among others.
