Jeff Tauber and Friends Present: Sunday Afternoon Jazz On The Deck At the Baltic Kiss

Sunday Afternoon Jazz at the Baltic Kiss introduces guest musicians as well as other jazz groups from across the Bay Area, sundays at Baltic Kiss outside in the patio.

Jeff Tauber and Friends features the steel drum rythms of John Kaydk, the jazz of Brazil, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

Jeff Tauber is a tenor and soprano sax player, who started his music career in the Blues clubs of Oakland, adding a strong R&B influence to the band. He’s performed at both the Monterrey Jazz Festival and the Monterey Blues Festivals, with Sonny Rhodes and Johnny Hartzman , respectively.

John Kaydk, is one of the very few steel drum players in the bay area playing jazz (also doubling on alto sax), bringing his unique tropical stylings to the our latin jazz repertoire.

THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON WE ARE FEATURING THE β€œMISSING MAN QUARTET"

The Missing Man Quartet (MM4) plays original interpretations of jazz and Great American Songbook standards using an unusual instrumental format. By integrating mandolin into the more standard lineup of drums, bass, and guitar, the MM4 brings a new twist that provides a tonal color rarely heard in mainstream jazz.
