Gold Band play instrumentals and songs that encompass the cinematic vistas of sixties soundtracks, the insistent grooves of Can and Afro-Funk, the twang of spy-noir and surf, and post-rock that has soul.

Musical reference points might be found in the laid back grooves of Khraungbin, the post-jazz inflections of Tortoise, and the eclectic genre mashing of Beck, but somehow Gold Band pull together and celebrate this diversity making it something unique and very much their own.

We're a trio of Bay Area musicians with much collective experience and we've been playing out frequently from Pacifica to Bolinas since late 2021. We started gigging when only outdoor shows were available, and this evolved into us playing multi-set shows that mix tight songs with open-ended instrumentals, and audiences have really connected with the music.
